Sassafrass prefers to play this game on the footrest.  I’m not sure why.  Nekoka would rather keep to the floor.

They are so quick for such lazy kittens!  I never could get the shots of them leaping but I love this one of Nekoka with his paws out and mouth open.

Sassy may seem a bit out of focus but she is totally concentrating!

Oh yeah, snagged. 

She isn’t sure how it can be in her mouth and on her head at the same time.

Just a bit lower… a bit lower… 

I got some video of Nekoka too, but he was a bit worn out from playing so there weren’t any of his spectacular leaps.  I’m going to not post that one but try again for better footage next weekend (its not bright enough when I get home from work during the week).

Nekoka makes a brief appearance in the kitchen.  If only my knees had an even briefer appearance!

Recorded prior to my Sunday morning chores, of course.   This is another reason why I use a shop-vac to clean my living room.

I love the way Sassafrass and Nekoka have positioned themselves in my hallway in the late afternoon, when the sun shines sideways through the up stairs part of the house.

And if you are wondering, yes, Nekoka is as soft as he looks.  This is what happens to your fur coat when you insist on getting brushed every night before you allow your human to go to sleep.

Merlin, my Bronze-Wing Pionus, looks truly captivating enjoying the late afternoon sunshine.  He knows how adorable he is.

Bandit of course won’t stand to be labeled “adorable”.  He strikes a more menacing pose as he glares at his own reflection in the window.

Merlin gives us his profile.  I think when he is back-lit like this, he looks a tiny bit like the bird-of-prey he is named for, and sometimes wishes he was.

Bandit thinks Merlin is just a big round football of a parrot.  He himself wouldn’t want to be anything but the gorgeous and noisy Nanday Conure that he is.

Nekoka has decided I need more supervision while I am at the computer.

The back of my chair provides him the perfect spot for directly overseeing my work.

This lasts until he has become so relaxed that he falls down between my head and the back of the chair.  I can support his weight on my neck for only so long before crying uncle.

That’s my girl Sassafrass, working on a variation of Cat Credo #1 – If I Fits In It I Sits In It.

There’s a whole big comfortable bed right in front of her, but she would rather squeeze her svelte self onto the corner of my crowded dresser.

I think she is trying to tell me its time for me to clear off some space so dust can have somewhere to settle.

I cannot express how much I love her crooked little face.  She is my best girl.

Nekoka starts out optimistic –the current contents of the bag are obviously cat-related.

Diving into the bag as quickly as possible is his main tactic.  Unfortunately, I have to remove him and all the rest of the cat goodies therein.

And that proves his downfall.

Nekoka has completely lost his ground to Sassafrass.

One can only submit to the inevitable.

Sassafrass always wins Bag Wars in Wazeau’s World.

As long as the sun is still hitting the crucial bits, Nekoka can’t be bothered to move.

And Nekoka wasn’t even the one who had to shovel snow.
