If I Wanted To Exercise, I’d Go To The Gym

But no!  I had to shovel forty tons of snow!  And it was the horrible wet stuff that clings to the snow shovel.  Not to mention that I had left said snow shovel outside, so yeah, it was covered with ice from stem to stern.  Nothing feels better then shoveling heavy snow with an even heavier snow shovel.

Did not help that I am recuperating from a some feverish cold-cough thing – oh yea, I sure feel fantastic right now.  The sun did decide to come out and highlight the huge mounds of snow that were once burying my car.  And the snow I still had left to shovel (the stuff on the right – the left is actually grass so its safe).

Snow II January 27, 2011

It’s hard to go wrong when the sky is all blue and the ground all white.  Even when your legs are wobbling from all that bend at the knees, not the waist action.

Snow III January 27, 2011

The poor trees need to shake their skirts free of the white stuff.  I like the view much better from the back bedroom window.  My hands are still frozen – had way too much coffee to make up for forcing my old round body to shovel.  Please tell me I didn’t hear the weatherman saying that there is another fifty percent chance of snow tomorrow.  I need to get into work, the parrots are driving me insane.

I feel your pain! I don’t mind shoveling, it’s the only exercise I get in the winter, but I have my limits. That’s why we have a snow blower. But it doesn’t get to all the areas, so that’s where I come in. And I only do as much as I feel deemed necessary. Mother Nature put it there, she can take it away. And if it sits there til April, that’s fine with me.

I wish Mother Nature would take it away faster! Especially when I need to drive to work the next day.

    Thanks for the comment 🙂
