Mom got a new “mouse” and she is all happy about that… something about how “a single-click isn’t a freakin’ double-click”, with a lot of additional obscenities spewing. Be that as it may, a new toy for her means a new box for us!
Nothing like the smell of a newly-opened and empty box! Can you believe Mom just tossed it in the corner of the hallway like it was trash?
Sassafrass got distracted by her image in the mirror, so Nekoka got his butt planted in the box first for a change.
But you can tell from the expression on his face that he knows this is only temporary.
Sassafrass outs him almost immediately.
She is quite pleased with herself.

What’s her name? How do you pronounce that? It took me some time to understand that it was a “mouse” and not a mouse and I was sitting and thinking why on earth a human needs a mouse, and where does it click and double click? 😀
Sassafrass (sass a frass, accent on sass as in sassy!) is the tortie girl, and Nekoka as in Neh-coke-ah with the accent on coke, the orange-yellow male.
I hate it when my mouse dies. But my new mouse is very comfortable.
