Gotta Put A Cat On It

DSCN3795

Why can I not get one single photo of any completed crochet project without a cat on it?

I finally got the last skein of yarn I needed to complete my Entwife shawl (I ran out of Prince – the lovely pink on the border – and had to search the net to find another).  I laid it out on my bed to try to figure out how I am going to block this sucker – I have no idea how I’m going to get all the dangly leaves blocked with the magnificent rufflage going on.

I am very happy with how it turned out – it is so soft and incredibly warm.  If I can just get it out from under Nekoka to block it.

It’s lovely–and looks perfectly natural with an orange cat on it!

can Nekoka act as a block? <:-D

    what is a marching cloak?

    it's beautemous, as usual!

    • Wazeau says:

The official name of the pattern is “Entwife Marching”. The designer did it in fall colors and envisioned it as the sort of shawl an entwife would wear while marching to meet up with the ents in Tolkein’s story. I did it in purples cause I don’t wear earthen tones 🙂

Very pretty! The kitty is terribly cute, too… The first picture made me laugh!

Stunning! Both cat and project. The description of what it is is exactly what my little hobbitty mind envisioned when I read the name. You have 2 cats and 2 birds; blocking should be easy! (sarcasm intended)

It looks marvelous! Do you really need to block it?

    • Wazeau says:

Yes it definitely needs some blocking. I may have to do the fringe in two intervals, blocking every other section each interval to get the leaflets to lay correctly. But blocking is part of the fun of making crochet garments!

It is very pretty and it looks even prettier with Nekoka on it! (Ask him if you do not believe me 🙂 ).
